[unMuddled was] outstanding from the minute they arrived to the minute they left. They were timely, friendly and above all super invested in our whole event having a great experience - above and beyond just the cocktail making class. They were really fun and engaging. The cocktail class was super interesting letting us customize to our tastes and it was super approachable.
Now...the above and beyond, I had an issue with one my caterers and they stepped in to help me so that I could enjoy the class. Second, after they were done with the class, they helped me set out additional beverages and make sure our guests were comfortable during the dinner portion of our event. Both of these things were absolutely centered on making sure that the experience for my guests for the whole event was flawless - not just the class. For that, I give you my innumerable thanks!

Planning a mixology class in Chicago
What to know and expect
First time planning a mixology class? It’s simple, we promise!
What if we don’t have a venue to host our cocktail class?
We would love to host your class at our unMuddled Prep & Tasting Room, located in the Avondale Neighborhood of Chicago! If not a good fit, we have many venue partners in the Chicagoland area, and we’d be happy to help secure their availability for your class.
How long are classes?
Most mixology classes last between 90 to 120 minutes, giving you time to learn essential techniques and tips, make multiple cocktails and enjoy the experience with your group. Class length can be adjusted based on your event schedule or preferences.
How much does a mixology class cost in Chicago? How big or small are your classes?
Pricing varies based on number of participants, and usually falls at $79 per participant. Minimums apply (for up to 8 participants). We’ve hosted classes of all sizes, from 2 people to 100+ participants!
Do we provide the alcohol for the mixology class, or do you supply it?
Technically, you provide the alcohol. But our Alcohol Concierge Services can put together the alcohol order for you, and facilitate its delivery and pick up of leftovers! If you’d prefer, we can provide you with a recommended “shopping list” instead.
I’m a company and want to provide some branded giveaways. Can you help?
By default, everyone goes home with an unMuddled cocktail jigger and pen, as well as custom recipe cards (including your branding)! If you would like to offer additional or alternate custom items with your branding, we’d love to help! Pricing and availability of items may vary.
Can we pick the cocktails for our mixology class?
We have some great cocktail combinations that work really well within the content of our classes that we would encourage you to select. That said, if there’s anything specific you’re curious to learn more about, let us know and we’ll be sure to cover your favorite cocktail(s) or mixology topic(s) during your custom class!
Do you offer abbreviated demos? Something a bit less “hands on” but still interactive?
For sure! We can facilitate a semi-interactive demo on its own, or as a part of a private or corporate event bar service. Be sure to communicate your needs and vision when you reach out.
Do you offer virtual mixology classes?
We do! Perfect for remote teams, we offer virtual mixology class options, and can even ship cocktail kits directly to each participant (optional). Inquire for pricing and more details!
Do you offer public mixology classes?
Yes, we do! Perfect for couples, individuals or a casual night out. Every 1st and 3rd Thursday at Lone Owl Pub (Wicker Park, Chicago) we host public mixology classes. You can buy tickets HERE, or email cheers@unmuddledbartending.com for a special discount by purchasing direct.
